Take Care Of Yourself!

Hi guys!

Happy Friday! As you may remember, I received my first order of vitamins from care/of not too long ago. I’ve been wanting to add vitamins to my daily routine for different reasons but wasn’t exactly sure which vitamins would be right for me. The other thing that always stopped me was the cost of vitamins. They can be really expensive and I was not willing to pay a large amount for a brand I wasn’t sure would even be good.

ACS_0024.jpg

Care/of was something I had heard about and decided to try. It is so much fun! The first thing you do is take a quiz by answering a series of questions that relate to what it is you are looking for in a vitamin. It only takes 5 minutes or so. From there, care/of will list out the vitamins they suggest would be best for you along with the dosage amount and cost. But the cool thing is you don’t have to stick with their suggestions. I kept a couple of their suggestions but changed out a few just because I somewhat knew what I wanted. I also changed the dosage amount to what I felt was best for me.

ACS_0026.jpg

After you finalize your personal vitamin pack and are content with the cost, you can place your first order! It takes about 8 days to actually ship and then only a few days to arrive on your doorstep. Your package is personalized to you. It comes with a box that holds all of your vitamin packs which I personally love! I keep it right on my countertop next to the coffee pot so that I remember to take them every day. It is a 30 day supply. The packs are a fantastic idea because when you travel, you can just grab the amount of packs you need! I just LOVE how organized this company is. The package also comes with a booklet that gives you all the nutritional facts about the vitamins you are taking and where in the world they came from. Care\of vitamins are clean and they really take the time to find the best for their customers which I appreciate. I am big on living a clean and organic lifestyle so even the vitamins I take, I want them to be the best of the best.

ACS_0023.jpg

This is not an AD whatsoever. I just happened to be one of their first customers so they have given me a code to share with friends as a thank you. So, I want to give it to you guys! Use my code “BRA34” to get $40 off your first order. This is a steal! But only 5 people can use it so you better hurry!

If you don’t like the vitamins after your first use, you can cancel your subscription so that they don’t charge you for another 30 day supply. But I doubt that will happen 🙂

Let me know if you try it!

5 Habits To Get Into To Live a Fuller Life

Hi friends!

Hope you are having a fantastic week so far! I’m a little bummed since my sister has returned home and I am back into a full week of work. We had the BEST time exploring Virginia together. We explored Virginia Beach but we also went further out and visited Colonial Williamsburg and Yorktown. I have come to find Virginia is seriously beautiful and makes me excited about my new home. As much as I have loved living in the South for many years, there really is no place like the East coast.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what “living life” truly means. I think everyone has their own definition. Personally, I feel like I’m really living life when I am traveling to new places, meeting new people, trying new restaurants, etc. I get this exhilarating feeling from the moment I get in the car or hop on a plane to get to my destination. It thrills me to travel to different parts of the world. But I obviously can’t do that all the time with work and just every day life. So, I have been asking myself, how do I live a fuller life while just being at home? Here’s some habits I have started to implement into my every day routine:

  1. Spend Quality Time With Family: This is the first time Zack and I have moved away from family and friends. For the first time, we are living in a state where we know NO ONE. So, we make the most of the time we are with family. But on a daily basis, we make time for each other. We actually do a lot together that I’m not sure other couples do haha. We are lucky enough to start our mornings together. Since I work from home and Zack starts his day from home, we enjoy breakfast together. After work, we go to the gym and have dinner together. The rest of the night is usually spent watching a movie or just talking. We also end the night by praying together. On weekends, we always do our Friday night date night, we grocery shop together (do other couples do this? lol I hate going without him) and we just spend a lot of time together. It’s always been a crucial thing for us and I think it’s important even if you just take a walk together. Just take some time to put away all technology and be present with each other.
  2. Start Your Day With God: For as long as I can remember, I have always started my morning with prayer. When I used to drive into the office, I would pray the entire way there. The car was my quiet time and a way to get my mind ready for a busy day at work. I obviously don’t drive to work anymore so things are a little different now. I still pray in the morning but have been trying to change it to a devotional every day. It just feels so good to start my day off with God and keep my mind positive.
  3. Journal: Part of the reason I started this blog is because I really enjoy writing. It really helps me to get my thoughts out on paper while also helping others. But the blog is not the only place I am writing. I have a devotional that I write a lot of my thoughts in. I think journaling can help you to understand yourself better in terms of your goals, your dreams and aspirations. Try it!
  4. Try New Things: I’m not much of a nature girl. I don’t particularly love hiking but last week my sister and I went to a state park and hiked 3 1/2 miles. It was freezing outside and we kept thinking we were lost haha but it was worth it. The trail led to the ocean and it was incredible. I don’t hike often but I try to experience new things that I haven’t done before like hiking this new trail. In the end, it’s usually worth it.
  5. Be Satisfied In Life: I don’t believe in “dream jobs”. I don’t believe we are meant to stay in one place for the rest of our lives. I don’t believe we are meant to be in the constant same routine. I believe in doing a job that checks off a list of things you are looking for to the point where going to work is not so bad. I believe change is healthy and even though it can be difficult, it changes our hearts for the better because we experience new things in LIFE. God intended for us to meet new people, see the world He created and EXPERIENCE LIFE. So, continue to build your life by following your dreams but remember to be satisfied with what you have and where you are.

What are some habits you have created in your daily routine to live a fuller life? Comment below or on my Instagram. I’d love to hear from you!

No Advice, Just Hello.

Hey friends!

It’s been a LONG time since I have written a blog post. You also might be confused because I recently just wrote an Instagram post not too long ago about how I didn’t feel like blogging was for me. To tell you the truth, I’m not sure haha. But I figured, this is the real, authentic me that is TERRIBLE at making decisions so you can either continue to keep reading or just ditch my account all together because it’s annoying to see me go back and forth. Either way, I totally understand! LOL.

The last few months have been really crazy. We moved 9 hours away to a new state we both had never even visited before. While it was sort of stressful at times, it was also really exciting to start this new adventure! We put most of our stuff into storage since we are living in corporate housing for a bit, packed up our Jeep Cherokee literally to the max (the dog had to sit in my lap the entire 9 hours because there was not an inch of space left) and said goodbye to a place that had been our home for 3 years. Our temporary home is really nice. We are very happy with it. We are 2 minutes from the beach which is amazing!  It’s also been a lot of fun exploring new areas and finding potential neighborhoods we might want to live in. We also went to church for the first time on Sunday and it went really well! We actually learned a lot in that one service and are excited to return. So, with all of that being said, so far so good!

I would say the only difficulty I have personally had in these last couple of weeks is feeling comfortable enough to go out by myself. I know that sounds silly but when you are in a new environment, it can be intimidating to leave the house. I work from home, I’ve been working out at our apartment gym (the struggle has been real finding a normal gym but that’s an entirely separate blog post), Zack and I grocery shop together…so I really haven’t had a reason to go out on my own. For the first week, I did not leave without Zack. But I finally have been pushing myself little by little. I started with going to get my nails done. It’s something I just enjoy treating myself to and I figured it’s something familiar. It sounds so small and petty almost but that quick trip to the nail salon made me feel like myself again. I’m still taking it day by day and making small trips on my own here and there. I still feel a little bit out of my element but I know I’ll feel more acquainted the more I get out of the house. It just honestly takes time and I am in no rush!

I want to share all of this because if you have moved recently or just find yourself struggling to get involved in your community, I want to encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and leave your house. Take a drive, go to a park, attend church, whatever it may be, do it! It can be so easy to just stay in your house where it’s comfortable and safe. It can be easy to not surround yourself with people you don’t know and stay in your comfort zone. No one is making you. You are an adult so you have the choice! But I promise, once you push past that anxious feeling and get out there, you will feel so much better.

To end this blog post, I want to apologize for being so back and forth with this blog. I’ve honestly just been confused on whether or not I actually enjoy it. But when I think of something I want to share, these blog posts just pour out of me. So, I think what has been happening recently is I have been putting too much pressure on myself on how blogging “should” go and instead need to keep up with it on my own terms. Anyway, with that being said, if you’ve stuck around, thank you from the bottom of my heart! I hope to continue to be inspired to share my thoughts, advice and ideas with you.

The Winter Skincare Routine You Need To Know

Atlanta has been having some unusual freezing temperatures and even some snow this winter! But in result, it has caused me to have intense dry skin. If you are having this problem, I think I’ve got a routine for you!

Morning: I know most people typically exfoliate at night but I actually like to do it first thing in the morning. I personally feel like I’m removing all the dry skin and starting my day fresh. I start by using Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Facial Cleansing Pads. I LOVE these. My sister and I just discovered them and we are obsessed. It’s a gentle way to exfoliate your face and get rid of dead skin. I’ve tried exfoliating face washes before and the beads that are in them are a little too rough for my liking. So, these gentle pads are a great substitute. Next, I use one of my topical creams as a spot treatment if I have any blemishes (you can skip this step or use an over the counter spot treatment). Once the topical cream has dried on my face, I then use aloe vera (any kind! I’m currently using Publix brand). I know this sounds weird because it’s normally something you would use in the summer but trust me, it does wonders! Aloe vera reduces inflammation and brings natural hydration back to your skin. I refrigerate mine (you do not have to) to get the cooling effect. After the aloe has dried on my face, I finish with Aveeno Clear Complexion Moisturizer.

Afternoon: I usually work out mid-afternoon so before I go to the gym, I always use makeup remover wipes (I just get the generic brand) to quickly clean my face. If I have makeup on, I will also use witch hazel (I use Humphrey’s Citrus Witch Hazel) to additionally wipe off any remaining makeup that the wipes did not get. After the gym, if I don’t have time to clean my face, I will use witch hazel again to kill any bacteria from sweating. Otherwise, I wash my face with First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser. This face cleanser is amazing. It does not overly dry out your skin, it’s safe for sensitive skin and it throughly removes all grime from the day. After, I will put on aloe vera again and depending how my skin feels, I may use a little bit of the Aveeno Clear Complexion Moisturizer as well.

Night: Nighttime can be a little more tedious depending on whether I have makeup on. If I do, it is the same as the afternoon with a couple of extra steps. I wipe my makeup off first with the makeup remover wipes, then I take a cotton ball and go over my face again with the witch hazel to thoroughly remove the makeup, I wash my face with the First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser, apply topical cream to any blemishes (if needed), apply aloe vera all over my face and neck, and finally, apply the Aveeno Clear Complexion Moisturizer. If I don’t have makeup on, I skip the makeup remover wipes and the witch hazel.

This routine has been amazing for my skin. It feels really hydrated and just back to normal! The weather has a huge affect on my skin so it’s crucial I always find a good routine. Most of these products are not too pricey but honestly, they are all worth the cost. I can’t live without them!

I hope this helps you if you have been struggling with dry skin like I have. If you have any questions, feel free to comment below or shoot me an email at angelabakerblog@gmail.com.

Goodbye 25, Hello 26!

Hey guys!

Hope your week is going well! As you can tell by the title, I am getting ready to turn 26 tomorrow! Fun fact: Zack and I are only about two weeks apart. My birthday is January 11th and his is the 28th. We have a lot of fun this time of year celebrating!

I have been reflecting on my year of age 25. It’s really been a great year! It started with getting our 6 week old puppy, Oakley. I’ve continued to progress in a job that I love! I went on some trips and created amazing memories! Overall, I’ve really enjoyed being 25 and honestly can’t believe I’m already 26. But it’s another year to live, to grow and to make memories. I can’t wait to see what all 26 has to offer. So far, it’s off to a good start! It’s beginning with a move to Virginia, working from home 100%, planning new trips and more!

As Eleanor Roosevelt said, “the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” As another year comes along and new experiences come our way, it is important to embrace these new opportunities. Life continues to progress on a daily basis and I believe, it is all about your attitude and how you choose to handle whatever life throws your way.

I hope you celebrate your birthday big when it comes around! It’s an important day! Cheers to a new age and a new year!

5 Things I Learned In 2017

Hi guys!

Wow it’s been a while! I had a nice long break with my family enjoying the holidays. My parents came into town, my sister stayed with us for a couple of weeks and my brother-in-law came home from college. It was perfect. I’m so sad it’s over but I am looking forward to the new year!

If you follow me on Instagram, then you saw the exciting news Zack and I announced yesterday (no, we are not having a baby yet lol). I feel like any time I say I have exciting news and leave people pondering, they automatically think we’re pregnant. Not yet guys, sorry! BUT we are moving to Virginia Beach and are super stoked about it! This move could only be for a few months or it could be permanent. We aren’t sure yet. That’s kind of part of the pharmaceutical life. It can all be up in the air for a little bit but we are looking forward to whatever God has for us! And right now, the beach sounds perfect!

It’s been amazing to see how God has unveiled this for us. We have been praying about leaving Atlanta for a while now. It was the perfect start for us when we first got married because we were young, just starting out in our careers and we have family that lives here. But we always knew it wasn’t our permanent home and definitely not where we wanted to raise our kids someday. It’s too busy for us! Zack and I really love the simple life. Virginia Beach is new to both of us but something we are really looking forward to (permanent or not). Being from Massachusetts, I am VERY excited to move back northeast and also live by the ocean. We are thrilled to dive into a new community and really getting involved in that area. This next month is going to be really crazy for us though! Zack is pretty much traveling the entire month of January which means I have to pack up our home myself (thankfully I work from home!). We are moving into a furnished home for now until we know whether or not we are permanent in Virginia Beach. So, we don’t have to look for a home right now AND we don’t have a whole lot to bring with us, which is amazing!

So, I’ve shared a lot about what’s going on so far for us in the beginning of 2018 and I can’t wait to share more with you! But a lot has also happened in 2017 that was both wonderful and challenging. I would honestly say it was one of our better years. I don’t want to say it was the “best” year because we’ve had many other years together that were also just as good! There was a lot learned– specifically 5 things:

  1. Work hard and go for what you truly want! Aside from blogging, I do have a day job. I work for a healthcare company as a Public Relations/Communications Coordinator. I have been really lucky to find a job that I love. I have been with the same company for 2 years and have moved into different positions. Which means I have worked with a lot of different people on several different projects. There is a lot I’m still learning and am working hard to continue climbing the ladder of success. But even though the positives have outweighed the negatives, there have still been many moments of frustration and questioning. However, I am not one to keep quiet rather I ALWAYS speak up and am honest with my team on my thoughts. I would say that has been the best thing I could do to help myself. Any time I start feeling frustrated and wait to speak with my team about it… when I finally do, I always think, why didn’t I just do that in the first place?! It’s something I have honestly learned from the moment I graduated college. You have to speak up for yourself if you really want something because who else will?! Also, working hard (whether I realized it at the time or not) has really paid off. I feel SO lucky to be able to work from home. It wasn’t available to me when I first started with the company but after a few months, I was given the opportunity. It is something I NEVER take for granted. I am such a home body (no shame!) and this job could not be more perfect for me. Especially now that we are moving, I am able to take this job with me! I do travel some but it’s only a couple times a year and I enjoy it whenever I do! So, my advice to you is work hard because it really does pay off in the end and go for the job you really want. You don’t want to waste your time working 40 hours a week at a job you really hate. It’s just not worth it.
  2. Stop worrying so much about what other people think! Ugh. I wish I had some magical advice to give you on this because it truly is such a waste of time but I don’t. I have just come to the decision to get rid of the negative people in my life (including removing them on social media) and stop worrying about what their thinking about me so that I can focus on living a positive life. The truth is, if these people really are paying THAT much attention to you, they have too much time on their hands lol. Just live the life you want to live, do what it is you want to do and leave those people in your dust!
  3. Change is good. While I am really excited to move, I would being lying if I said I wasn’t a little scared. Change can be difficult for me. Atlanta has been my home for almost 3 years. As much as I don’t want to stay here, there is still a comfort in being here. But this change that is about to occur is the best thing that is happening to us. It is changing our lives for the better! Change is a good thing if you look at it in a positive light. It’s good to get out of your comfort zone. It gives you the opportunity to embrace new experiences!
  4. Family is everything. Family can be tough! They can be the hardest people to get along with sometimes! But I have learned that they will be your biggest supporters in the end, cheering you on. As you’ve heard before, friends come and go but family always remains.
  5. Writing can be the best medicine. You don’t have to be a blogger or in public relations to write. Writing in your own personal journal or jotting down a quick note can be the best way to relieve stress, reach goals, get your thoughts out, etc. You don’t have to be amazing at it! It’s just another form of communication that I have found to be helpful and beneficial.

I would love to hear about what you learned in 2017, your thoughts or your goals for the upcoming year! Comment on this post or send me an email at angelabakerblog@gmail.com.

Thanks so much for reading! I look forward to spending the new year with you!

4 Reasons Why I Started Over On Instagram

Hey guys!

I hope you are having a wonderful week! I am back on schedule with my blog posts and am excited to talk about Instagram- the good, the bad and the ugly.

Instagram is a great platform to share your life quickly, efficiently and creatively. Several years ago, I started my first Instagram account so that I would remember to take pictures more often. That’s sounds so funny now because I take pictures ALL the time. My husband is constantly having to remind me that pictures aren’t always necessary. If you are focused on the picture, you miss out on the moment. I try to live by that as much as I can. But Instagram really did help me to remember to take pictures and I actually enjoyed sharing them with my following (which was only friends and family at the time). Fast forward 5-6 years later, Instagram became almost a competitive game. I began to see a pattern in my feed that felt like I was “bragging”. I really didn’t like that about myself. I’m not one to brag in person so why would I feel the need to do it online? Well, it’s because I was trying to keep up with everyone else! For some reason, I felt if I didn’t share parts of my life that people would think certain things about me. And to be honest, they did sometimes! Some people would ask me about my relationship with Zack just because I hadn’t posted about us for a while. Isn’t that ridiculous?! I felt as if I had to prove things to others. Bottom line-I ALLOWED Instagram to create an insecurity in me and it makes me wonder how true it might be for several other people.

If you know me or have followed me for a while then you know I am now using a brand new Instagram account. I chose to start fresh for several reasons:

1. I wanted to start a blog.

2. I wanted my Instagram feed to shed new light on my life. Not the stuff I own or the vacations I’m taking but sharing my family with you, my adventures and my passions. I wanted my new Instagram to actually mean something and not just be a place to post random stuff that no one actually cares about!

3. I wanted a new audience. Not just people I know or have known. I wanted to invite in people I have never met before to hopefully inspire them in many different ways.

4. I wanted to get rid of my insecurity of caring what people think and be vulnerable for once! I wanted to share things I actually care about.

My new Instagram is nowhere near perfect and a daily work in progress. I am learning and trying to create an inviting feed. I have a small following but it’s larger than I have ever had so I am proud of that! It can be super frustrating at times and I have learned if there is a day I don’t feel like posting then it’s okay. Rule of thumb for bloggers is to post daily to Instagram in order to keep your following interested or else you begin to lose followers. But I don’t necessarily want to follow the rules with blogging. I’d rather do what works for me. All in all, I’m sharing what I want to share and feel I have a better connection with my following. My outlook on Instagram has really changed and I am excited about my growing account.

This post was very easy for me to write because it’s weighed on me for a while now. I also feel like there are a lot of other people that can relate to this and it was important for me to be really honest with you. I hope this encourages you however you choose to share your life on social media and whichever platform you choose to use. We live in a world that is consumed by technology and social media but it is important to remember that it does not define you or your life. It only captures very small glimpses.

Grateful, Thankful, Blessed

Hey guys!

Hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving. My apologies for skipping out on a blog post this week but I took a break to spend quality time with my family. But since I missed a blog post, I am going to do two posts this week to make up for it!

I wanted to reflect a little bit on the positivity in life as this holiday calls for us to be thankful for what we have. This time of year seems to bring everyone a little bit closer together. I don’t know if it’s the hot cocoa, the Christmas lights or the delicious meals we put together once a year but we seem to set aside any negativities going on and instead enjoy being together. It’s a wonderful thing!

I don’t see my parents too often since they live almost 8 hours away. They have been really great and have traveled down to us for the last couple of years. So, this year we decided to visit them in Cincinnati, OH for Thanksgiving. It had been years since I had been back there so it was great to visit. My mom is a fantastic hostess and puts on an amazing meal for everyone. It was so much fun just talking, laughing, drinking wine and eating good food.

While the holidays can be stressful (all families have their drama) I think it’s important to try to set aside that stuff to focus on just being together.

I know this post wasn’t my typical providing tips for you but I hope it helped in knowing that each family has their difficulties and while that can be the easiest to focus all of your attention on, it’s crucial to try to enjoy that quality time and create happy memories together.

I am thankful for all of you, grateful for your support in my blog that is imperfect but a daily work in progress and blessed to have the ability to do what I love!

Discover Your Passion By Asking Yourself These Five Questions

Good Morning!

Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going well and you all had an amazing Halloween! Today, I am talking about discovering your passion and the importance of it.

As I have mentioned before, I believe millennials have a drive to create a life that is centered around what they truly enjoy and are fearless when it comes to discovering what they want in life. I think the thought of not finding what we love and being stuck in an okay 9-5 job scares us more. But from what I have figured out, it doesn’t always come easy.  You may have to go through numerous jobs in order to uncover what it is you are wanting from a company, in your position, the type of manager you work well with, etc.

It wasn’t until this past year that I figured out what it is I am passionate in. I have been a Public Relations/Communications Coordinator for about 8 months now. I have been with the same company for almost 2 years but was previously in an events position. It wasn’t until I began working in public relations (which is what my degree is in) that I figured out what it is I enjoy and what I would love to be doing the rest of my life. I chose public relations as my major in college because of how broad it was. I knew it had the general things that I might enjoy doing as a career but couldn’t quite pin point exactly what part of it I would enjoy doing at that moment in time. Communication is a skill I have worked on in my personal life which, in turn, has improved my professional life. It has given me the ability to effectively communicate to my company what I would like to be doing, which is how I ended up in my current position. I run our social media, do all things public relations, work with our thought leadership team and last but not least, I write a lot. If it weren’t for these past 8 months in my position, I don’t know that I would have discovered my love for writing right away or put two and two together to create a blog.

My husband is really big on listening to motivational speakers so these podcasts are a hot topic in our house haha. But it’s something I appreciate because he’s always pushing me to think outside of the box. One of them was about discovering your passion by asking yourself certain questions which is what I am going to ask you! See what your answers are and how they make you think of where you currently are in life. Do your answers point to what it is you are doing right now with your life? Or is totally opposite? If it’s opposite, what are you going to do to change that?

1. What would you enjoy doing if you never made a dollar from it?

2. If you had all the money and time, what would you do with your life?

3. What do you like doing so much that you lose track of time?

4. What would you do with your life if you had no fear?

5. What would you do with your life if you had a guarantee of success?

Ask yourself these five questions and discover what it is your passionate in. When I have asked myself these questions, my answers are blogging and fitness. It’s what I love to do and I’m currently making zero dollars from it. It doesn’t bother me though because it’s something I really enjoy doing on a day to day basis. I will continue to pursue and work hard on it so that hopefully, with time, it will be what I do full time.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this! Comment below or email me at angelabakerblog@gmail.com if you don’t want it to be public.

2 Reasons Why I Decided To Start A Blog

Hi guys!

I just want to take a minute to really thank everyone for the quick and positive feedback I have received over the last few days. It was unexpected and I am so excited to see you all interested in returning to my blog!

I wanted to fill you in on why I decided to become a blogger and what it means to me personally.

1. Compilation of my passions: I’ve spent a long time trying to figure out what I am good at and what I enjoy. I’m sure a lot of you have felt this way or are currently searching at this moment. I think as millennials we are driven to think of life as something bigger and better. What I mean by that is we strive to live life to the fullest and not just do the 9-5 day job. We crave to embark on adventures and strive to learn more about ourselves every day. As I have gotten older, out of college, and settled into 2 years of married life, I have learned SO much about myself and what I am capable of. My husband is also a huge rock in my life and has been for the past 7 years of knowing him. He really has helped me to crawl out of my insecurities and pushes me to do exactly what it is that I want to do! As I mentioned in my bio, I have created and deleted this blog more times than I can count. If I am being totally honest, it was because of several reasons like it didn’t feel like “me”, it didn’t feel authentic, I was scared of what people might think, I wasn’t sure if I was really cut out for this. But I think when you really want something, it scares you the most because it actually means something to you. This blog is intended to help others by sharing my love of working out and living a healthy lifestyle. It’s also to share parts of my life, my style, my love for home decor. It’s a compilation of everything that I enjoy. This blog has no limits! I think that’s the best part of doing this. It’s mine. So, I can choose what I want to share and what I don’t.

2. It’s something I am able to always do: At some point, Zack and I plan to start a family 🙂 (It feels so weird sharing this just because it’s usually a conversation between him and I haha). I fully intend to be a stay at home mom. We are old school and were both raised by stay at home mom’s. We personally feel it’s crucial and important for our children to be raised by us. Now, that does not mean this is for everyone! I know plenty of women who just don’t enjoy staying at home all the time. Work is like an outlet for them and they just really need it. I believe whatever you think is best as a parent is right for your child. With that being said, I have kept the future in mind and have always thought I still want to be doing something for myself. I went to college and got a Bachelor’s in Public Relations. I am beyond proud of that accomplishment in my life and do not want to see that go on the back burner. So, starting this blog gives me the ability to keep utilizing my talents and it also allows me to do this when and where I want to. I’ll be able to continue this blog no matter what goes on in my life which is awesome!

This blog is personal and probably the most vulnerable I have ever been with an audience. But it means a lot to me. It gives me so much opportunity in my life and it’s honestly a dream I am fulfilling.

Thanks for reading!
